m60 challenge

Welcome to Lifeshare’s M60 Challenge.  60 kilometres…well, 58.1 to be precise.

That’s the total length of the M60 motorway that runs around our beloved Greater Manchester.

We’re challenging you to walk, jog, run or move in any way you like to reach those 60 kilometres whilst raising as much as you can for Lifeshare  – Manchester’s oldest homelessness charity.

For 35 years, we’ve done everything in our power to fight homelessness. This year, in the wake of the pandemic, we need your support more than ever.  Go it alone, or grab some friends, and get moving for Manchester!

Individual Challenge

Are you an experienced runner or walker looking to have an impact on your local Manchester community? Take on the M60 challenge and raise funds for Lifeshare, Manchester’s oldest homelessness charity. You can take on the challenge over 1-2 weeks to fit around your schedule or take it on over a long weekend for a more demanding pace.

Team Challenge

58.1 km a bit much for just you? Why not get a team of pals together to take on the challenge together?

You can take on the challenge over a month if you’re looking for a more casual pace, or try to smash it out in a week to get everyone’s heart pumping!

You can clock up your kilometers any way you like – running, walking, cycling – but please don’t walk on motorways to keep yourself safe. Lifeshare assumes no responsibility for the safety or wellbeing of participants of the M60 challenge. All participants take on their own liability and risk for all activities and are encouraged to consider their fitness and safety at all times so as to not endanger themselves or the people around them.

Due to ongoing rail strikes from June 21-June 24th the Lifeshare offices will be closed. Staff will still be working remotely but drop-in services at Houldsworth st will be suspended until June 27th.

Breakfast Project will run as normal on June 25th & 26th at our Dale street location.
