Donate a Meal

Christmas costs are rising and with the loss of our site at New Victoria we need your support more than ever. Each weekend we seem more and more guests and we expect numbers to ride at Christmas as well.  If you have something to spare we are asking for your help to fund our Christmas Meals. We have run the costings and we are asking for £11.50 to cover the cost of our Christmas meals. We know times are tough so not everyone will be able to afford it but if it fits within your finances please consider donating a meal to someone in need.

Lifeshare primarily work with rough sleepers and those in food and fuel poverty throughout the year, we are seeing those numbers rise week on week but at Christmas we open to anyone in need of a warm place to spend the day, a hot shower, dry clothes, a fresh meal, or a friendly face. Last year we served 2500+ meals. We are projecting to add over 1000 this number in 2023 so your help will make a real difference to help us feed these people. You can click on the button below and share a Christmas Meal with someone in need. From November 28th – December 5th at noon all donations made at the link below are DOUBLED!

Volunteer with Us the Christmas

Do you want to give back to the community this holiday season? Why not volunteer with Lifeshare? Lifeshare runs Manchester’s only 7-day indoor support for rough sleepers, those in food and fuel poverty, and those suffering from social isolation. We provide hot meals, dry clothes, warm showers, support services, and festive cheer!

This year the project will take place at the Mosaic Wellbeing Hub 2 Dale st M1 1JW.

We are open from December 23rd-29th from 7am-8pm and we need volunteers to help make our work happen! All volunteers must attend an induction in December as well as their shifts over Christmas so please ensure you plan for attendance. Volunteers apply through our volunteering platform linked below. Once you have registered you will be contacted by our team with your next steps.

All shifts are first-come first-served so any shifts available will be listed. If a shift is not listed this means it is fully booked. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day book quickly so there is a chance you may not be able to work those days, however, we encourage you to consider volunteering on one of our other days. The guests we serve need your support just as much on December 26th and we appreciate each and every shift equally!

Volunteering Applications are now closed. If you’d like to volunteer with us in the new year please check out our Facebook page or sign up to our newsletter for more information.
