Fighting Food Poverty

Our Fighting Food Poverty service is a collaboration with four other organizations in Manchester, funded by Manchester City Council, we provide not only food items but also education around food, healthy eating and food hygiene.

The project aims to achieve three core outcomes:

  • Meet a specific unmet demand for emergency food
  • Provide activities to help people sustain a healthy, balanced diet
  • Address longer-term causes of food poverty by improving cooking and budgeting skills; improving access to affordable, nutritious food; and through healthy, community eating.
