Patron - Maxine Peake

“If you love Manchester, you need to love everybody in it.”

Maxine Peake is an actress born in Greater Manchester. Best known for her roles in Dinnerladies and Shameless, Maxine supports Lifeshare’s work with homeless and vulnerable people.


Lifeshare’s staff all have a deep dedication to helping people who are homeless, vulnerable or marginalized.

  • Judy Vickers is Lifeshare’s Operations Manager, she has worked with Lifeshare since 2005, and is qualified in social work. Judy manages the core operations of the Crisis service and is responsible for raising Lifeshare’s profile by means of corporate engagement, representing Lifeshare at a strategic level citywide.
  • Susan Grumbridge is Lifeshare’s Team Leader, she manages the Frontline Team, supporting both the staff and young people to be the best they can be. She is a strong advocate for our young people, focusing on the person centred approach and multi-agency working, to provide the best care and support to those who need it the most.
  • Ellen Gallacher is Lifeshare’s Finance Manager, in charge of the financial running of the Charity, bookkeeping, budgeting and funding.
  • Abigail Noonan is Lifeshare’s Digital and Marketing Manager, she is manages all aspects of marketing and social media, corporate clients, events and sales.
  • Zara Bobat is Lifeshare’s Digital Inclusion Lead, she runs the Digital Inclusion Platform, which focuses on providing further training and support in all aspects of digital life, from providing smart phones and laptops to those who need them the most, to training on how to use them, how to further their skills and much more to come.
  • Natalie Ryder is Lifeshare’s Lead Administrator, she is responsible for the day to day admin of the Charity, covering a wide range of work from clerical to administrative support to the team.
  • Shannon Dowd is Lifeshare’s Administrator, she supports the Lead Administrator and helps ensure the smooth running of all day to day operations.
  • Leonie Painter is Lifeshare’s Resettlement Lead, she works with the young people to assist them into both interim and sustainable accommodation, including ensuring they have the tools, knowledge and support to maintain their tenancy.
  • Lily Wade is Lifeshare’s Support Worker, she supports our young people, assisting the resettlement lead, working with those facing the criminal justice system, and adapting to the needs of each young person.
  • Donna Clews is Lifeshare’s Support Worker, she works with our young people, both in the office and on outreach to help them meet their needs and goals, working to ensure they have suitable accommodation and support in all aspects of their lives.
  • Barry Plumridge is Lifeshare’s Breakfast Co-ordinator. He managers our wonderful breakfast volunteers, and makes sure our clients all receive a hot breakfast each weekend morning. He also manages the Christmas Project, running the week long provision, co-ordinating volunteers, doctors, nurses, hairdressers, entertainment, etc, to ensure an amazing Christmas is had by all.
  • Anthony Brennan is Lifeshare’s Complex Needs Worker, he specialises in outreach with the young who have complex needs, working to give them the support they need, whilst working with other agencies to provide a complete support package.
