Patron - Maxine Peake

“If you love Manchester, you need to love everybody in it.”

Maxine Peake is an actress born in Greater Manchester. Best known for her roles in Dinnerladies and Shameless, Maxine supports Lifeshare’s work with homeless and vulnerable people.

Staff

Lifeshare’s staff all have a deep dedication to helping people who are homeless, vulnerable or marginalized.

  • Judy is Lifeshare’s Operations Manager, she has worked with Lifeshare since 2005, and is qualified in social work. Judy manages the core operations of the Crisis service, as well as our Respite offering at the Mosaic Wellbeing Hub. Judy represents Lifeshare at a strategic level citywide on the Crime and Disorder Board, Sex Worker’s Forum, and the Cold Weather Planning meetings. Judy was the key figure in the forming of the Coalition of Relief and recently founded the Mosaic Wellbeing Hub Steering Group to provide a safe, affordable space for non-profits and community groups in partnership with MCC, GMCA, and the Methodist Church.
  • Ellen is Lifeshare’s Finance Manager, in charge of the financial running of the Charity, bookkeeping, budgeting and funding.
  • Abby is Lifeshare’s Digital and Marketing Manager, she manages all aspects of marketing, social media, corporate partners, events, and merchandise campaigns.
  • Zara is Lifeshare’s Digital Inclusion Lead, she runs the Manchester Digital Collective, our digital inclusion initiative. The MDC focuses on providing digital devices, data, and skills. This role includes looking after our e-learning platform and running workshops and training sessions to promote digital skills to help increase employability, access resources, and promote social inclusion.
  • Natalie is Lifeshare’s HR and Senior Staff administrator. She is responsible for the day-to-day admin of the Charity, covering a wide range of work from clerical to administrative support to the team.
  • Jimmy is Lifeshare’s Respite Coordinator. He manages our wonderful breakfast volunteers and makes sure our clients all receive a hot breakfast each weekend morning. He also coordinates our new Friday Breakfast offering as part of Greater Manchester’s homelessness reduction strategy. Once a year Dave manages the Christmas Project. He runs the week-long provision – coordinating volunteers, doctors, nurses, hairdressers, entertainment, and more to ensure all have a fantastic Christmas.
