Donate a Christmas Meal

At Christmas Lifeshare opens to anyone in need of a warm place to spend the day, a hot shower, dry clothes, a tasty meal, or a friendly face. Last year, we served over 4000 meals during the month of December. We are projecting to add over 1000 to this number in 2026 so your help will make a real difference to help us feed those in need. You can click on the button below and donate a meal for someone in need.

A Lifeshare Christmas meal will cost £12.00 this year. We know times are tough but if you can, please consider donating a meal to someone in need.

Do You Need Support This Christmas?

Lifeshare opens for 5 days, from the 23rd to the 27th of December for anyone needing extra support over the holidays – plus we’re still open as usual every weekend of the year. We provide freshly cooked meals, hot showers, and dry clothes. We also have drop-ins from various services including, barbers, hairdressers, opticians, doctors and nurses. We have live entertainment from musical performers each day along with games, Christmas films, and creative expression workshops. The space will also be a warm bank so if you are struggling with your heating you can come and warm up in our space.

Anyone in need of support who is 18+ is welcome to join us.

Volunteer with us this Christmas

Do you want to give back to the community this holiday season? Why not volunteer with Lifeshare? Lifeshare runs Manchester’s only 5-day indoor support for rough sleepers, those in food and fuel poverty, and those suffering from social isolation. We provide hot meals, dry clothes, warm showers, support services, and festive cheer!

This year the project will take place at the Mosaic Wellbeing Hub, 2 Dale St, Manchester M1 1JW.

We are open from December 23rd-27th from 7am-7pm and we need volunteers to help make our work happen! All new volunteers must attend an induction, as well as their chosen shifts over Christmas, so please ensure you plan ahead. We ask volunteers to commit to a minimum of two shifts. Volunteers can apply through our volunteering platform linked below. Once you have registered you will be contacted by our team with your next steps.

All shifts are first-come first-served so any shifts available will be listed. If a shift is not listed this means it is fully booked. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day book quickly so there is a chance you may not be able to work those days, however, we encourage you to consider volunteering on one of our other days. The guests we serve need your support just as much on December 26th and we appreciate each and every shift equally!
