It has been a year like no other and we are getting towards the time when we normally start to plan the details and the volunteer rotas for the Christmas Project. At the moment we are not ready to start that planning as we don’t yet know what will happen with the project this year.
The need for the Christmas Project has not gone away. If anything there will be more people in Manchester facing up to homelessness, poverty and loneliness than ever. But this year, finding a venue and a way to run the project without endangering clients or volunteers is proving to be a huge challenge. Limelight, where we ran the project last year, has had to lock down fully and looks unlikely to be available by Christmas. We are currently working to see what other options we have and what could be possible.
For now, please bear with us. If we are able to get something up and running, we know it will only be possible if you and all of our fantastic volunteers continue to give your time and energy and love to those in need. As soon as we know what’s happening we will be in touch.
Until then, take care of yourselves and keep safe
