FRONTLINE HOMELESSNESS SERVICES: RESPONDING TO THE CHALLENGE OF COMPLEX NEED

Lifeshare is proud to release this research report in collaboration with Manchester Metropolitan University.

This detailed piece of work explores the role of complex need in frontline homelessness services – attempting to define the challenges we face, provide examples of best practice, and a host of recommendations for improved ways of working.

This service guide has been informed by researcher Anton’s Robert’s co-productive doctoral research, taking place over a two-year period across provisions here in Manchester. The resource also draws heavily on the lived experience of our own staff, volunteers and service users.

The resource would be of great use to any frontline workers/volunteers in the sector, as well as any frontline provision that works with vulnerable/marginalised groups.

As a service/charity in the sector we feel it demonstrates both the stark difficulties we face every day with our clients, but also provides a series of realistic and practical solutions.
